Terms of Service

Welcome to ConfStudio. By accessing or using our website at www.confstudio.com, the ConfStudio admin portal, or any conference app created through our platform (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" means the ConfStudio website, admin portal, APIs, and any associated mobile applications.
  • "You" / "Organizer" means the individual or entity that creates an account and conference app on the Platform.
  • "Attendee" means any end user who downloads or accesses a conference app created through the Platform.
  • "Content" means text, images, logos, schedules, speaker information, and any other data uploaded to the Platform.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must promptly notify us at start@confstudio.com of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activity.
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to collect information from the Service without permission.

4. Plans & Pricing

ConfStudio offers a free Starter plan and paid plans (Advanced at $39.99 per conference and Enterprise at custom pricing). Plan features and pricing are described on the pricing section of our website and may change with 30 days' prior notice. Paid plans are billed per conference upon activation and are non-refundable once the conference app has been publicly released.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all Content you upload to the Platform. By uploading Content, you grant ConfStudio a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that Content solely to operate and deliver the Service. ConfStudio and its logos, features, and technology are and remain the intellectual property of ConfStudio.

6. Conference App Distribution

Conference apps created on the Platform are distributed through the ConfStudio container app on the App Store and Google Play. Standalone branded apps are available on Advanced and Enterprise plans. Distribution is subject to the terms and policies of Apple and Google, respectively.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that the Content you collect from attendees complies with applicable data-protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

8. Availability & Support

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance. Support is available via email at start@confstudio.com; Enterprise customers receive dedicated phone support.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConfStudio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to ConfStudio in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ConfStudio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data by emailing start@confstudio.com.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
